Fjord Light

Setting the scene in Norway''s impressive fjord landscape, with its often changeable weather and thus lighting conditions, is a challenging affair.

Springtime meadow

It is spring in Dresden''s surroundings. The orchards are in full bloom and the pastures are green again. The hope of sunny and warm days after a winter is almost tangible.

Outlook

The highlands of Iceland offer countless exciting landscape motifs. The masses of water flowing from the large glaciers towards the coast are very impressive. Here you can imagine what happens when a volcano erupts under one of the glaciers ... .

Dog rose

The delicate filigree and simple beauty of dog rose or dog rose looks almost vulnerable against its thorny background.

Lonely Baltic Sea beach

This national park on the Polish Baltic coast is a wonderful place for relaxation and landscape photography outside the main season. Vast deserted beaches, shifting sand dunes, beautiful coastal forests and much more. There was a strong westerly wind blowing when I took the photo, and I made the cloud movement visible with a long exposure of 2 minutes.

Moonlight and Aurora

Two light sources were active in this shot: The aurora borealis and bright moonlight from the side, a very appealing combination for me. Patience was needed when taking the pictures, I spent several hours at this spot.

Ice and light in Iceland

On the beach in front of the glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón in the south of Iceland, the pieces of ice broken off the glacier become the plaything of the Atlantic waves. The scene is particularly impressive in the light of the rising or setting sun.

Winter forest in fog

The hike through the snow-covered forest in the special light atmosphere created by the fog was a particularly impressive experience. There was a deep silence in the forest and the surroundings had a very calming effect.

Sky colors and snow

At the end of a cold winter''s day, the last rays of sunshine conjured up beautiful evening light. The thin blanket of snow on the fields contrasts with the warm hues of the last light of the setting sun.
