Küstenlicht
Story
On the day this photo was taken, there was a stormy wind. It was difficult to move around. I had to find a location with some protection from the wind and take a very stable position to be able to capture the special light atmosphere.

Nature experience
Story
An exposure time of 72 seconds was sufficient for this shot to record traces of movement in the clouds driven by stormy winds. The wildness of the landscape in southern Iceland is thus particularly emphasised.

Rapids in the evening light
Story
Detail shots of flowing water with slightly longer exposure times are among my favourite shooting situations. Here I captured the water movement of a small river in the evening light with 90mm focal length and 0.8 seconds exposure time.

Mallorca / Majorca - View over Pollença
Story
The island of Mallorca offers very different motifs. Here is a panoramic view of the beautiful old town of Pollença with its sea of houses interspersed with alleys and the Calvary el Calvari, with the Eglésia del Calvari chapel and the Carrer del Calvari staircase leading up to it. The place where the photo was taken is the Puig de Maria, the local mountain opposite. The climb is worthwhile not only because of the wonderful view, but also because the monastery café is very inviting.

Wildes Wasser
Story
This picture was taken in spring. The rivers in the mountains of Norway had a lot of water, which makes the numerous waterfalls and rapids impressive photo motifs. My aim was to make the water movement visible without taking away the natural dynamics of the scene. I therefore chose an exposure time of 1/2 second.

Dresden - View to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains
Story
With good visibility, you can see the Elbe Sandstone Mountains from many locations in Dresden. Of course, the observation towers are among the best places to take pictures. The Bismarcksäule observation tower in Dresden-Räcknitz offers views over the entire Elbe valley and up to the heights of the Eastern Ore Mountains (Osterzgebirge).

Rote Wolken am Fjord
Story
Norway is famous for its fjord landscape. I was very impressed by the narrow, deeply cut coastal valleys. In this shot, the already setting sun conjured beautiful red tones on the underside of the clouds. I used a telephoto lens to capture this special moment.

Blue ice
Story
Blue ice blocks of all sizes lie on the black lava beach in southern Iceland. They come from the Vatnajökull glacier and are washed out of the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon onto the offshore black lava beach by the forces of the ebb and flow of the tide. There they are exposed to the wild surf of the Atlantic. Little by little they melt away.

Im Wasserfall
Story
This photo location is very exciting. You walk behind the waterfall, there is a lot of spray. With a wide-angle lens (14mm) I was able to get the entire rock recess in the picture.
