Magical cascades at Bruarfoss

The cascades of Bruarfoss in southern Iceland are one of those places I want to return to again and again. That evening I stood right at the edge of the lava rock, hearing nothing but the rush of the water. The light grew softer, the tourists had already moved on, and I almost had the waterfall to myself. With the long exposure I wanted to capture the calm I felt there, despite the power of the current flowing relentlessly beneath me.
